On April 11, 2017, Melissa hosted an outreach event for artists in the Boston area called, “Creating Art to Last: A Conversation with Art Conservators.” The event was sponsored by Golden Artist Colors and Arts at the Armory. Four conservators of varying specialties volunteered to be on a panel to discuss art materials, best practices, and preventive care for artwork. Melissa collaborated with other conservators to compile a resource sheet specifically for artists, which is available here.
