Oddy Testing

Melissa assisted her professor, Dr. Joelle Wickens, teaching first-year conservation graduate students about material testing. She worked with the other students to prepare and run an Oddy test for possible storage and display materials being considered by preparators at the Winterthur Museum. She evaluated the results and discussed them with the first year students. Melissa spent some time at her internship at the Brooklyn Museum also setting up and running an Oddy test, and enjoys discussing the process with visitors who visit the conservation labs at Winterthur.
